Effective date: November 05, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Pen Your Path LLC collects, why we collect it, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to penyourpath.org and to our financial coaching services.
It works alongside our Terms & Conditions. Where the two overlap, the Terms describe what the service is and this policy describes how your information is handled.
1. Who We Are
Pen Your Path LLC is a financial coaching business based in Colorado. Services are provided by Krish Anders, AFC® (Accredited Financial Counselor®) and Certified YNAB Coach.
Website: https://penyourpath.org
Email: krish@penyourpath.org
For any question about this policy or about your information, email the address above.
2. Information You Give Us
Most of what we hold is information you provide directly:
- Contact form. Your name, email address, and whatever you write in the message.
- Booking a session. Your name, email address, time zone, and any answers you give to questions on the booking form. Bookings are handled by TidyCal.
- Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details directly — Pen Your Path does not receive or store full payment card numbers.
- During coaching. Whatever you choose to share in sessions or by email: income and expenses, budgets, debt balances, savings goals, account statements, credit reports, and similar documents.
- Reviews. If you leave a review after a booking, your first name, rating, date and review text may be shown publicly on the relevant booking page.
You decide what to share. You are never required to disclose anything you are uncomfortable sharing, though leaving out relevant detail may limit how useful coaching can be.
3. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the website, standard technical information is recorded by our hosting provider, including your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This is used to keep the site running, secure, and working correctly.
The services pages include booking widgets embedded from TidyCal. Loading those widgets means TidyCal receives your IP address and can set its own cookies, in the same way as if you had visited their site directly.
4. Financial Information and Documents
Discussing personal finances requires trust, and financial detail is the most sensitive information we handle.
Please do not send passwords, banking login credentials, full Social Security numbers, or complete payment card information by email or messaging. These are never needed for coaching.
Budgets, spending summaries, debt balances, and similar documents you share are used only to provide coaching to you, and are not used for any other purpose.
If you work with YNAB, your budget data lives in your own YNAB account under YNAB’s terms and privacy policy. Any access you grant to that account can be withdrawn by you at any time.
5. How We Use Your Information
Information is used to:
- Provide coaching, prepare for sessions, and follow up afterwards
- Schedule, reschedule and confirm appointments
- Take payment and keep business records required for accounting and tax
- Answer your questions and provide email support between sessions
- Maintain, secure and improve the website
- Meet legal and regulatory obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
6. Service Providers We Use
Running the business means using a small number of third-party services. Each operates under its own terms and privacy policy:
- TidyCal — scheduling, booking, subscriptions and reviews
- Stripe — payment processing and recurring billing
- Google Meet — video sessions
- YNAB — budgeting software, where you choose to use it
- Our website host — hosting, backups and security
These providers only receive what they need to perform their function. Pen Your Path is not responsible for how independently operated platforms handle data under their own policies, and you may wish to read them.
7. When We Share Information
We do not disclose identifiable client financial information to unrelated third parties without your permission, except:
- When legally required, including a valid court order or other lawful obligation
- When reasonably necessary to deliver services through the providers listed above
- With professional advisers or service providers bound by appropriate confidentiality obligations
- When necessary to address a serious and immediate safety concern, as permitted by law
- When you have given authorization
Confidentiality in financial coaching is not the same as attorney-client privilege or a legally protected therapist-patient relationship.
8. Cookies
The website uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, including those set by WordPress and by the Astra theme.
Embedded TidyCal booking widgets may set their own cookies when a booking section is opened.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may stop parts of the site, including the booking widgets, from working properly.
9. How Long We Keep Information
Coaching notes and the documents you share are kept for as long as needed to provide services to you, and afterwards for as long as required for business, accounting, tax and legal purposes.
Booking and payment records are retained by TidyCal and Stripe under their own retention schedules.
Contact form submissions are kept for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of the enquiry.
You can ask us to delete information we hold about you. See section 11.
10. How Information Is Protected
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and services involved, including limiting access to information and using reputable providers for payment and scheduling.
No method of online transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please use the guidance in section 4 about what not to send by email.
11. Your Choices and Your Rights
You can at any time:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask for a copy of it
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
- Ask us to delete information, where we are not required to keep it
- Withdraw permission you previously gave, including permission to use a testimonial
- Decline to provide information, understanding this may limit the coaching we can offer
Email krish@penyourpath.org and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law. Nothing in this policy limits any right you have that cannot be waived.
12. Testimonials and Reviews
We will not publish identifiable client testimonials, personal stories, financial details, or coaching results for marketing purposes without your authorization.
Reviews left through the booking system are displayed publicly on the relevant booking page, showing your first name, rating, date and review text. If you would like a review removed, email us.
Declining to give a testimonial never affects your access to coaching.
13. Children’s Privacy
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please email us and we will delete it.
14. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in services, business practices, technology, or legal requirements. The current version will always be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
